The Die Casting Process Engineer will be responsible to manage the die rotation schedule, process parameter definition, new work instruction creation and improvement, process definition for secondary operations, and Cycle time studies. Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanics, Electronic, Materials, Mechatronics, Robotic engineering or related degree.
- At least 5 years on High-Pressure Die Casting (HPDC).
- 3+ Years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Mastery of the Die Casting process.
- Process curve knowledge.
- Alloys strong expertise (A383, A413, ALSI12FE, etc.), temperature, molds (Cavities H13, 970).
- knowledge of release agent dilutions,
- Basic key documentation knowledge IATF, VDA 6.3, QRQC, PFMEA, PDCA Methodology.
- Intermediate English Level
Desired Certifications/Training:
- Die Casting certification (as a plus).
- Leadership certification (as a plus).
- Root Cause Analysis and Lean Tools Desired.
- 2D CAD savvy and able to read both Casting and Machining Drawings
- Ability to interpret and recommend iterations to mold flow analysis and studies.
- Ability to network and leverage the casting supply base/community for lessons learned and read.
