Let's get in touch.What you'll be doingValidating if regulatory obligations are mapped to existing controls in line with Mexican regulationsProviding guidance and support to team members in conducting quality control checksRecommending improvements to existing processes within the second line of defence,



ensuring alignment with best practices and proper governance documentationReviewing work performed by regulatory compliance SMEs with high attention to detailCommunicating review feedback clearly to stakeholdersIdentifying opportunities to improve adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standardsMaintaining and improving compliance methodologies, adapting to regulatory or process changesReviewing quality and documentation across teams in the first and second lines of defenceWhat you'll need4+ years of experience in regulatory compliance across the three lines of defence within fintech, banking, consulting, or regulatory institutionsExperience interpreting financial regulations in Mexico (e.g., CNBV, Banco de México)Experience reviewing work and providing structured feedbackA solid understanding of regulatory compliance controls and best practicesA results-driven, pragmatic, and detail-oriented mindsetAn interest in compliance and continuous learningFluency in EnglishNice to haveA degree in law, finance, engineering, or related fieldExperience mentoring or guiding team membersKnowledge of Mexican financial regulations related to payments, consumer protection, and fintechExperience in audit or assurance within risk and complianceExpertise creating or using testing procedures or scriptsRelevant certifications, such as ICA, ACAMS, etc.Building a general financial super app isn't enough.
