Job Description:
As an ETL Developer at Virtualent, your main responsibility will be designing and developing UNIX commands as part of the ETL process.
You will also be tasked with automating the loading and pulling of data to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
We are looking for someone with strong technical hands‐on experience, with over 5 years of expertise in ETL‐Unix/SQL‐DB.
Your role will involve managing departmental inventory, troubleshooting testing, reporting, and inventory issues.
Experience in automating functionality using QTP is a big plus.
You will also be required to test target data in the Teradata database, generate reports from COGNOS report tool, and compare them with the EDW database.
Using JIRA to track and report on defects will be a key aspect of your role.
You will also be expected to execute SQL queries for backend database testing and verify/modify user data.
In addition, you will be involved in technical testing and analysis using SQL and automate testing tool QTP.
Your role will also include extraction routines to verify all the required data load into target systems.




Collaborating with the UAT team to get sign-off for the application will be an essential part of your job.
Working in multiple source data extraction and data transition from existing production systems to test environments will also be a key part of your role.
Requirements:
Experience as an ETL Developer
Strong technical hands‐on experience over 5 years in ETL‐Unix/SQL‐DB
Design and develop UNIX commands as part of the ETL process
Automate the process of loading and pulling the data
Manage departmental inventory and troubleshoot testing, reporting, and inventory issues
Automate functionality using QTP
Test target data in Teradata database
Use JIRA to track and report on defects
Generate reports from COGNOS report tool and compare with EDW database
Execute SQL queries for backend database testing and verify/modify user data
Perform technical testing and analysis using SQL and automate testing tool QTP
Document defects, resolve defects, and coordinate with UAT team for application sign-off
