Accounting Manager
with a strong background in real estate accounting—ideally within
senior living

multi-property portfolios

Key Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting for multiple property entities (AR/AP, bank reconciliations, accruals, month-end close).
Prepare and review financial statements: balance sheets, P&L;, and cash flow reports.
Ensure accounting practices comply with internal policies and financial regulations.
Use Yardi or equivalent property management software to maintain accurate property-level records.
Provide financial analysis and forecasting to support operational decisions.
Partner with property managers and internal teams to deliver clear financial insights.
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance.
Mentor and lead junior accounting staff, ensuring accountability and development.
Deliver variance analyses, budgets, and financial reports to senior leadership with accuracy and clarity.
Prioritize a high level of customer service when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
8+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Real estate or property management accounting experience is preferred.




Strong proficiency with
Yardi Voyager
or similar platforms (Sage or SaaS-based ERP).
Fully bilingual
– fluent in both written and spoken English and Spanish.
Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
Solid knowledge of
US GAAP
Knowledge of real estate tax regulations
and
property-level accounting
.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA or equivalent certification.
Experience managing multi-entity or multi-location portfolios.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer service mindset.
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
