As a Senior Research and Development Chemist, you will develop water-based architectural coatings formulations.You will ensure competitiveness in cost, performance, and quality, and provide technical support to manufacturing plants.This support will ensure operational continuity and compliance with safety standards.You will report to Supervisor S&T; Product Development.Key ResponsibilitiesReduce formulation costs while ensuring quality, performance,



and delivery timelines.Ensure continuity of manufacturing operations.Adjust non-conforming batches.Update formulas and technical specifications.Execute new product and process development projects.Improve existing formulations to increase efficiency.Manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and timelines.Provide technical support to plants in Mexico and Panama.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.Preferred: Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymers, Materials, or a related field.More than 6 years of experience in paint formulation/development.Expertise in water-based paint formulation.In-depth knowledge of architectural coatings chemistry.Proficiency in paint evaluation methodologies.Experience using laboratory equipment for formulation and testing.
