Design Engineer Structures D&R;
to lead the end‐to‐end development of
Body Side Outer (BSO) assemblies and Roof Panel systems
, including
Class A surface development
. This role is critical in delivering high‐quality exterior body components from concept through production release, ensuring aesthetic excellence, manufacturability, structural performance, and program timing alignment. The position is around 30% design and 70% DRE activities,the perfect candidate is someone passionate English communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
3D design of exterior lighting components using
3DX / CATIA
.
Application of
GD&T;
, tolerance analysis, and dimensional variation (DVA).
Development of optical components:
LED, light guides, lenses, reflectors
.
Support and execution of validation: photometry, thermal, vibration, IP/condensation.
Evaluation of
fit & finish
, packaging, feasibility, and tooling requirements.
Execution and documentation of
DFMEA, DVPR
, Interface Matrices, and PLM/BOM deliverables.
Technical collaboration with suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams.
Must‐Have Qualifications
4+ years
of experience in automotive design (Body Exterior and lighting).
Proficiency in
3DX / CATIA
for mechanical design.
Strong knowledge of
GD&T;
and dimensional analysis.
Experience with
Class A surfacing
and exterior body development.
Experience with
dimensional variation analysis (DVA)
and tolerance stack‐ups.
Background in
automotive exterior lighting
—preferably tail lamps.
Understanding of
FMVSS / ECE
lighting regulations.
Experience with LED systems, optical design principles, and component validation.
Knowledge of
DFMEA/DFA
, injection molding, and tooling processes.
Experience with
PLM systems
, BOM management, and engineering release processes.
English level B2–C1
.
Valid visa
for international travel (e.g., U.S.).
Preferred Skills
Direct experience designing
Tail Lamps / Rear Combination Lamps
.
Familiarity with optical simulation tools (e.g.,
LucidShape, LightTools
).
Knowledge of LED thermal management and sealing strategies (IP rating, anti‐fogging, vents).
Experience with
LIN / CAN
communication in lighting modules.
Knowledge of
APQP
, IATF *****, and automotive launch processes.
Experience collaborating with general lighting suppliers.
