We're looking for a
Medical Executive Virtual Assistant
to provide remote clinical and administrative support for a multi-location healthcare group based in the United States. This is not a general VA role. You will be embedded in the daily operations of a U.S. clinic, handling patient communication, administrative workflows, and clinical support tasks under the direction of the client's team.
If you hold an MD or PharmD and want a versátil remote role that still puts your training to use, this role is worth reading.

What You'll Work On
Patient Communication and Inbox Management
Manage inbound and outbound patient communication including calls, texts, and inbox
Handle fax and email triage for the clinical team
Coordinate referrals and follow up to ensure nothing falls through
Clinical Support
Support prior authorization processes
Assist with lab result review and patient follow-up coordination
Prepare charts ahead of scheduled appointments
Perform quality checks and chart audits
Administrative and Documentation
Verify insurance and manage documentation and medical records tasks
Maintain organized, accurate records across all patient interactions
Work within monitored, secure systems provided for client access
What You Bring
Medical degree (MD) or pharmacy degree (PharmD), required not preferred
Fluent English, spoken and written, with clear and professional communication
Comfortable working directly with U.S.-based clinical and administrative staff
Solid understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Experience with EMR or EHR systems, with eClinicalWorks familiarity as a strong plus
Detail-oriented and organized: you close the loop without being asked
Able to work on a U.S. time zone schedule
Stable internet connection and a private workspace
Nice to Have
Prior authorization or insurance verification experience
Familiarity with U.S. referral coordination workflows
Experience in a remote healthcare support or telehealth environment
