BlackBull Markets seeks a passionate engineer with 3+ years of experience building customer-facing web applications in the cloud. What You Will Be Working On:
You will be developing cloud-native web applications powered by PHP 8, integrating with various third-party providers, and hosted on the AWS platform. Additionally, you'll be involved in building and consuming microservices within BlackBull Markets.
Required Skills:
Technical Experience:
5+ years of advanced PHP 7 experience building web applications.
3+ years of experience building RESTful APIs and a solid understanding of CORS.
Experience with Laravel or Symfony in building rich web applications and APIs.
Expert-level knowledge in OOP, dependency injection, and common design patterns, as well as using/configuring modules via Composer.
Experience working with TDD and Codeception for acceptance testing.
Experience with PHP templating using Blade and Twig.
Experience with Doctrine or Eloquent ORM and MonoLog.
Familiarity with the PHPUnit library.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript (classes, functions, DOM interactions) and experience with TypeScript. Experience with ReactJS 16 or VueJS, along with npm and Webpack.
Experience with HTML5 and solid command of using web components and DOM manipulation. Proficient in CSS with SASS or LESS.
Strong understanding of SOLID principles.
AWS Knowledge:
ECS, ElasticCache Redis, EC2, SQS/SNS.
CloudFormation / CDK, Aurora MySQL / Aurora PostgreSQL.
CloudWatch, Amplify.
Monitoring & Performance:
Experience with application performance monitoring tools such as NewRelic.
Security:




Use of encryption to store and consume sensitive information with Libsodium.
Web Servers:
Experience with Apache and Apache modules, as well as Nginx.
Databases:
Experience with both NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB) and RDBMS (such as MySQL / PostgreSQL). Skills in query analysis, database design, and migration from NoSQL to relational databases.
Knowledge of triggers, stored procedures, and bin-log replication.
Preferred Skills:
Strong communication skills for sharing ideas, issues, and solutions in a team environment.
Active GitHub profile with contributions.
Good experience with installing and configuring PHP extensions and Protocol Buffers.
Experience with Docker and Bash scripting on Linux.
Familiarity with Linux Bash/Shell scripting and the Linux environment.
Basic Python skills for data manipulation.
Experience using Git (version control system).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CICD pipelines.
Familiarity with OWASP security standards in routine development work.
Experience with Salesforce integrations and development.
Experience integrating with various payment gateways.
