What You'll Do
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of immigration applications and petitions.
- Draft legal documents for attorney review in matters including:
- Removal Defense
- Asylum
- VAWA
- U Visas
- Family-Based Immigration
- Adjustment of Status
- Permanent Residency
- Naturalization
- Consular Processing
- Manage case files from intake through completion.
- Maintain court calendars and case deadlines.
- Prepare and organize client files and supporting documentation.
- Answer incoming calls, greet clients, and provide exceptional client service.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in immigration law.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Experience with family-based immigration cases and knowledge of FOIA and/or Immigration Court procedures is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with immigration forms including I-130, I-485, I-864, DS-260, I-360, I-131, and I-90.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment.
