The Supply Chain Inventory Planner is responsible for the management of all activities associated with assigned suppliers, commodities and/or services. This position is generally assigned numerous suppliers with many purchase orders, line items, and smaller spend levels. However, this position has full responsibility and leadership for assigned spend categories, working closely with multiple internal user sites, developing strategies and driving all related supply chain activities to assure that cost and value-added requirements are met.

Review and generate purchasing orders.
Generate Transfer Requirements.
Respond to routine supplier inquiries.
Communicate with employees and suppliers in a timely manner.
Continually seeks to streamline the order placement, acknowledgement and expedite processes to improve efficiencies throughout the overall supply chain.
Manages supplier relationships within each commodity and is knowledgeable of their quality, delivery and performance record
Effectively communicates internally and externally any supplier term and condition liabilities regarding freight, minimum orders, and other factors that may affect our cost structure
Identify Critical items that need to be stocked to support customer delivery requirements.
Work with sales people on slow or dead stock to determine disposition and plan to reduce inventory dollars.
Drives healthy inventory portfolio through managing inventory levels (inventory parameters, order quantities, etc.)
Assist with training inventory planners with new ERP implementations
Resolve invoice pricing discrepancies, shipping errors, or quality issues with suppliers.
Monitors assigned inventory levels and develops plans to address obsolete inventory
Monitors product availability levels to ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Perform other duties as assigned
Perform work in accordance to ISO processes and procedures
Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with internal customers, external suppliers and fellow teammates at all levels
Ability to interact and influence at multiple levels internally and also with suppliers.
Ability to exercise sound business judgment in a team environment while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude
Demonstrated analytical skills with problem solving and process improvement orientation
NAPM – National Association of Purchasing Management, preferred
CPIM - Production and Inventory Management, preferred
CSCMP – Council of Supply Chain Professionals, preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28,000.00 - $30,000.00 per month
