Food & Beverage – Supervisory Roles

Positions: Head Waiter | Assistant Restaurant Manager | Restaurant Manager

Position Overview

We are recruiting experienced Food & Beverage professionals for luxury and ultra-luxury cruise lines, delivering high-end dining experiences in structured, international environments.

These roles are responsible for leading service teams, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in fine dining and upscale restaurant concepts onboard.

Key Responsibilities

Head Waiter

- Supervise daily restaurant operations and service flow
- Lead and coordinate a team of waiters and assistant waiters
- Ensure service standards and guest satisfaction are consistently met
- Support staff training and development
- Handle guest requests, preferences, and complaints professionally
- Maintain full knowledge of menus, wines, and service procedures

Assistant Restaurant Manager

- Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing all dining operations
- Manage service teams, schedules, and daily operations
- Ensure compliance with service standards and company procedures
- Monitor performance, productivity, and guest satisfaction
- Assist in training, coaching, and evaluating team members
- Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues

Restaurant Manager

- Oversee full restaurant operations onboard
- Lead, manage, and develop large multicultural teams
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-end service standards
- Monitor KPIs, financial performance, and operational efficiency
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and service organization
- Drive guest satisfaction, retention, and overall dining experience
- Handle escalated guest concerns and operational challenges

Work Environment

Working Conditions

- 10–11 hours per day
- 7 days per week

Experience

Head Waiter

- Minimum 3–5 years in Food & Beverage service
- At least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong background in fine dining or upscale service

Assistant Restaurant Manager

- Minimum 5–7 years in Food & Beverage
- At least 2–3 years in supervisory/management roles




- Experience managing teams and service operations

Restaurant Manager

- Minimum 7–10+ years in Food & Beverage
- At least 3–5 years in senior management roles
- Proven experience managing full restaurant operations, teams, and performance

Ship Experience

- Strongly preferred or required for most roles
- Candidates without ship experience must have high-level luxury hospitality leadership background

Skills

- Strong leadership and team management
- Advanced knowledge of service standards and fine dining operations
- Ability to manage:
- Service flow and guest experience
- Staff training and performance
- Scheduling and operations
- Guest complaints and resolutions
- Understanding of:
- Wine & beverage service (for Head Waiter and above)
- Financials, reporting, and KPIs (management roles)
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure in high-demand environments

Language

- English: B2–C1 minimum (advanced level required)
- Strong communication and guest interaction skills

General Requirements

- CV in English (Harvard format), updated with no gaps
- Minimum 2 verifiable reference letters
- Valid passport
- Availability to work:
- 10–11 hours per day
- 7 days per week
- High level of professionalism, grooming, and discipline
