Bar Operations – Service Roles

Positions: Bar Server | Bartender

Position Overview

We are recruiting beverage service professionals for cruise lines and maritime operations, delivering high-quality bar service in fast-paced, guest-focused environments.

These roles are responsible for ensuring excellent guest experience through efficient service, product knowledge, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

Bar Server

- Provide beverage service to guests in bars, lounges, restaurants, and public areas
- Take orders and deliver drinks efficiently and professionally
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas
- Ensure proper handling of glassware and beverages
- Follow service standards and guest interaction protocols
- Support bartenders during peak service periods

Bartender

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards
- Maintain full knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and bar menus
- Ensure bar setup, stock levels, and cleanliness at all times
- Deliver fast, consistent, and high-quality drinks under pressure
- Control inventory and minimize waste
- Provide engaging and professional guest interaction

Work Environment

- Cruise ships (bars, lounges, restaurants, pool areas)
- High-volume, fast-paced service
- International teams and guest interaction

Working Conditions

- 10–11 hours per day
- 7 days per week
- Physically active roles (standing, moving, lifting)
- High-pressure service environment

Required Documents

- CV in English (Harvard format)
- 2 reference letters
- Valid passport

REQUIREMENTS

Bar Operations – Requirements

Positions: Bar Server | Bartender

Experience

Bar Server

- Minimum 3 years experience in:
- Bars
- Restaurants
- Hotels
- Beverage service environments

Bartender

- Minimum 3-5 years experience as bartender
- Experience in high-volume or upscale environments preferred

Ship Experience

- Bar Server: Not required
- Bartender: Required

Skills

- Strong customer service and guest interaction
- Knowledge of beverages:
- Basic cocktails (Bar Server)
- Classic and international cocktails, spirits, wines (Bartender)
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Speed, accuracy, and consistency in service
- Teamwork and communication skills

Language

- English:
- Bar Server: B1 minimum
- Bartender: B1–B2 preferred

General Requirements

- CV in English (Harvard format), updated with no gaps
- Minimum 2 verifiable reference letters
- Valid passport
- Availability to work:
- 10–11 hours per day
- 7 days per week
- High level of discipline, hygiene, and professionalism

Commitment
