Exp. Required: 6+ years
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain safety-related software components for client's Electronic Control Modules (ECMs) in compliance with Functional Safety and software development processes.
- Implement software requirements derived from Technical Safety Requirements (TSRs) ensuring complete and correct implementation.
- Verify that software implementation satisfies safety requirements through unit testing, bench testing, static analysis, peer reviews, and other verification activities.
- Support Functional Safety software integration, troubleshooting, and defect resolution throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in software design, code, and test reviews (including DRB, TRB, and RRB activities where applicable).
- Maintain bidirectional traceability between safety requirements, software design, implementation, verification artifacts, and released software baselines.
- Collaborate effectively with global development teams across the US and India to support project execution and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety,
particularly software development activities (Part 6).
- Experience developing embedded software using C for automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
- Understanding of automotive software development lifecycle, software architecture, and software verification methodologies.
- Familiarity with ASPICE-compliant software development processes.
- Experience with requirements management, software traceability, and configuration management tools.
- Experience with software verification activities, including unit testing, static code analysis, peer reviews, and software integration testing.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR, PREEvision, and automotive software development tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across general and cross-functional engineering teams.
Desired Certification(s):
- ISO 26262 Functional Safety certification (preferred).
