As a Corporate Packaging Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing packaging strategies across our operations — reducing costs, improving performance, and enhancing the customer experience.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing — giving you real ownership and visible impact from day one.

What You’ll Do

Packaging Engineering & Strategy

- Design, evaluate, and implement packaging solutions for industrial components
- Define standards for durability, protection, and efficiency
- Lead initiatives to reduce reliance on one-way packaging

Testing & Validation

- Perform transit and performance testing to ensure packaging integrity
- Validate new packaging designs and engineering changes (ECRs)

Supply Chain & Supplier Management

- Source and manage suppliers (corrugated, returnable, thermoformed packaging)
- Ensure material availability to support uninterrupted production
- Monitor supplier performance and service levels

Operations & Manufacturing Support

- Support production by resolving critical packaging issues and avoiding line downtime
- Manage packaging data within ERP systems (QAD or similar)
- Coordinate launches of new programs and materials

Cost & Sustainability Optimization

- Identify opportunities to reduce packaging costs and waste
- Implement reusable, recyclable, and environmentally responsible solutions
- Analyze KPIs:



inventory levels, MPS alignment, packaging coverage

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Partner with Operations, Quality, Logistics, and Procurement
- Work closely with teams across Irapuato and Monterrey

What You Bring

- Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Industrial, Mechanical, Materials Engineering, or related
- 1–5+ years of experience in packaging, manufacturing, or supply chain
- Strong knowledge of:
- Packaging design and material selection
- Supply chain & inventory control
- ERP systems (QAD preferred)
- Quality standards (IATF, ISO)
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills (English preferred)
