Role Overview

We are seeking a licensed attorney residing in Mexico to support our California lemon law practice in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a hybrid role combining litigation support and client-facing communication.

This role involves direct phone communication with English-only California clients. The remaining time is focused on drafting, filing, and managing routine litigation tasks. Prior lemon law experience is required. In addition we provide structured training on our practice area, workflows, and client communication standards.

Client communication will begin only after thorough onboarding, including shadowing, scripts, and hands-on training. This role does not involve video calls, but does require frequent live phone communication in English.

Key Responsibilities

- Communicate case status clearly and professionally to English-only California clients
- Answer common client questions after training and with reference to established workflows
- Request, collect, and organize client information needed for discovery responses and initial disclosures
- Support all phases of California lemon law cases, including pre-litigation, initial disclosures, mediation, discovery, settlement, and trial preparation
- Draft, file,



and serve routine template pleadings such as case management statements, notices, and other standard filings
- Perform legal research and assist with drafting discovery and correspondence as assigned
- Electronically file documents in California courts
- Maintain organized digital case files in the firm’s case management system
- Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court requirements
- Flag issues, follow up on outstanding items, and escalate when necessary

Required Qualifications

- Licensed attorney in Mexico in good standing
- Prior experience in lemon law and litigation support
- Strong English proficiency with confidence speaking live by phone
- Clear, professional, and composed phone presence
- Self-starter who identifies obstacles, proposes actionable solutions, and takes ownership of outcomes without hand-holding
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures
- Prior remote legal work experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting U.S.-based law firms or U.S. litigation
- Familiarity with California civil procedure or consumer protection

Technical Requirements





- Reliable computer and high-speed internet connection
- Experience with Filevine and Slack preferred
- Willingness to use Hubstaff for time tracking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe PDF tools
- Strong digital file organization skills
- Ability to learn new systems quickly
