Name of the Position: Project Controls
Location/Modality: México (Office-Based) with travel to project sites in the United States as required.

About the role: The Project Controls Analyst is responsible for supporting project teams in budgeting, cost control, forecasting, change management, and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle. This role ensures project financial performance is accurately monitored, analyzed, and reported while collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.The idóneo candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working on large industrial or construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project budgets from project initiation through completion.
- Monitor project costs, forecasts (ETC/EAC), and budget performance.
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cost control reports.
- Support procurement planning, staffing plans, and cost tracking activities.
- Analyze forecast versus budget variances and provide recommendations.
- Review subcontractor payment applications and supplier invoices.
- Evaluate and process subcontractor and client change orders.
- Coordinate owner billing preparation and project invoicing.
- Maintain cost control systems and project financial databases.
- Generate project progress reports for management and clients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure financial accuracy.
- Participate in project review meetings and travel to project sites when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management,
Finance, or a related field.
- 3–10 years of experience in Project Controls, Cost Control, Project Management, or Construction Management.
- Experience supporting industrial, infrastructure, or large commercial construction projects.
- Advanced English proficiency.
- PMI or AACE certification is a plus.

- Knowledge of Risk Analysis techniques.
- Construction financial reporting.
Must have:
- 3+ years of Project Controls or Cost Control experience.
- Experience with project budgeting and forecasting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP or Project Management systems.
- Strong financial analysis capabilities.
- Ability to travel within the United States as needed.
- Experience in industrial construction projects preferred.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Schedule:
- This position follows active construction project schedules.
- The anticipated work schedule is Monday through Friday; however, working hours may be extended depending on project requirements.
- Saturday work may be required during critical phases of the project.
- When not assigned to a project site, employees will work from one of the company's offices.
- The employee will be based in Mexico and will be able to work from offices near active construction projects when required.
