Entertainment Technical Roles – Viking Cruises (Mexico Only)

Positions: Lighting Technician | Audio Technician | Sound Technician | General Technician | Stage Manager

Position Overview

We are recruiting technical entertainment professionals for Viking Cruises, operating small, ultra-luxury ships with a focus on high-quality, intimate guest experiences.

These roles support onboard entertainment operations, ensuring all technical aspects of shows, events, and presentations are executed to the highest standard.

This opportunity is open to Mexican nationals only.

Key Responsibilities

Lighting / Audio / Sound Technicians

- Operate and maintain lighting, audio, and sound equipment onboard
- Set up and run technical aspects of shows, live performances, and events
- Perform equipment checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ensure all systems function properly before and during events
- Follow safety procedures and technical standards at all times

General Technician

- Support multiple technical areas (lighting, sound, stage, AV)
- Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of onboard systems
- Handle basic troubleshooting and technical support across departments
- Ensure all technical equipment is organized and operational

Stage Manager

- Coordinate and oversee all entertainment activities and show operations
- Manage scheduling, rehearsals, and daily technical operations
- Supervise technical staff and ensure smooth execution of events
- Act as the main point of contact between performers and technical teams
- Ensure all performances meet Viking service and quality standards

Work Environment

- Ultra-luxury cruise ships (small capacity)

Working Conditions

- 10–11 hours per day
- 7 days per week
- Versátil schedules based on show and event programming

Required Documents

- CV in English (Harvard format)
- 2 reference letters
- Valid passport

No visible tattoos allowed, nothing in arms, neck or outside a short sleeve.

Eligibility

- Mexican nationality required

Experience

Technicians (Lighting / Audio / Sound / General Tech)





- Minimum 1–3 years experience in:
- Live events
- Theaters
- Concerts
- AV or production environments

Stage Manager

- Minimum 3–5+ years experience in:
- Stage management
- Live entertainment operations
- Show coordination and team supervision

Ship Experience

- Not required
- Considered an advantage

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of:
- Lighting systems (for Lighting Tech)
- Audio/sound systems and mixing (for Audio/Sound Tech)
- AV and general technical operations (General Tech)
- Equipment setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to work with live shows and event timing
- Understanding of safety procedures and technical protocols

Leadership (Stage Manager)

- Team coordination and supervision
- Scheduling and show management
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure during live performances

Language

- English: B1–B2 minimum
- Ability to understand instructions and communicate with international teams

General Requirements

- CV in English (Harvard format), updated with no gaps
- Minimum 2 verifiable reference letters
- Valid passport
- Availability to work:
- 10–11 hours per day
- 7 days per week
- Strong work ethic, discipline, and adaptability
