Customs and Traffic Manager

SUMMARY

The Customs and Traffic Manager is responsible for coordinating and administrating all activities related to Import & Export Operations, and the management of designated local carriers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage PROSEC, NAFTA, Rule 8, SICEX

· Temporary/Definitive importation Programs.

· Timely duty IVA/DTA Payments through the presentation of pediments.

· Manage duty risk and exposure.

· Preparation of import and export permits through various government offices USA/Mexico.

· Preparation of entry documents consolidating weekly activities.

· Proper application of duty-deferral programs.

· Preparation of Certificates of Origin by country.

· Administration FAST/CTPAT program for EHP Mexico.

· Administration of Designated Local Carrier.

· Responsible for applying all requirements related to EMS, ISO9001/14001/50001/Green Spirit according to the position.

On regards responsibility and authority in matters of safety, hygiene, and the environment:

Follow operational procedures related to Quality,



Environmental, Energy, Safety and Health Management Systems & report any issues that affect or represent a risk to product quality, environmental risk and/or safety to management leaders and/or supervisors. your area.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Fluent bilingual (English / Spanish)

· BA, In Commerce Degree

- · Knowledge of Mexican & USA Customs Laws, Rules and Regulations.
- · 6+ years of experience and knowledge in Customs and Traffic. (Preferable).
- · Familiar with the Harmonized tariff and explanatory notes.
- · Knowledge of Valuation Laws.
- · Requires up to date actualizations on customs regulations
- · Experience on Traffic and Logistics operations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Exposure to warehouse and Trailer yard environments plus the manufacturing facility environment.
