The Freight Director of Sales and Operations is responsible for leading, developing, and managing both the sales and freight operations of the company to ensure sustainable growth, profitability, and superior service.

This role combines strategic oversight of logistics operations with direct accountability for freight revenue generation, pricing, customer acquisition, and relationship management. The Director will collaborate with management to expand market share, improve margins, and optimize operational performance across all transportation and logistics functions.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership and Revenue Growth Develop and execute strategic plans for freight sales and operations aligned with company goals and profitability targets. Drive freight revenue growth through pricing optimization, lane development, and customer retention strategies. Analyze market trends, customer demands, and competitor pricing to ensure competitive positioning and profitability. Sales Management and Business Development Lead the sales strategy to secure new freight accounts and expand existing customer relationships. Negotiate contracts, rates, and service agreements to optimize profit margins and customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities for additional services and long‑term partnerships with key customers. Freight Operations Oversight Oversee daily freight operations including dispatch, routing, load optimization, and cross‑border logistics. Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, CBP, and company policies. Manage cost control initiatives, freight budgets, and performance reporting to maintain operational efficiency.



Optimize utilization of assets and reduce empty miles through improved planning and coordination. Customer and Partner Relations Ensure seamless communication between customers, dispatch, and accounting departments. Address and resolve customer or carrier issues promptly while protecting profitability and service standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in freight sales, logistics operations, and revenue management. Experience with freight broker platforms and load boards to source, negotiate, and secure profitable freight opportunities. Strong understanding of port logistics, including import/export container movements, drayage operations, and round‑trip freight coordination. Ability to manage remote freight operations while optimizing equipment utilization, routing efficiency, and profitability. Strong knowledge of domestic and cross‑border freight markets, pricing models, and transportation regulations. Proven leadership and team management skills with a track record of achieving sales and margin growth. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities. Proficiency with freight management systems (TMS), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite. Working Conditions

Based primarily at Tijuana office with regular coordination with the San Diego yard. May require occasional travel to visit customers, carriers, or logistics partners. Standard office hours with flexibility for operational and sales‑related needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
