Position Summary

The Purchasing Manager will lead and support their team of Buyers to ensure that they meet their goals and continuously improve their performance.

Responsibilities Lead the team of Buyers (8–10) in Mexicali. Set performance goals for the Buyers and establish action plans to meet them. Manage the regional Buyer team including coaching, training, resource allocation, PTO, and HR systems maintenance. Serve as the first point of escalation for expediting critical shortages for Operations. Lead lean, cost‑saving, and continuous improvement projects related to purchasing, space optimization, and inbound freight costs as required. Recommend ideas that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the team to the Director, Americas Purchasing. Review all purchase orders that require approval per Vertiv procedures to ensure SOX compliance. Ensure that procedures exist and are documented to support Buyers’ compliance with Vertiv Procurement and Operations procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or equivalent functional experience required. Strong leadership skills and proven track record of driving continuous improvement. APICS or ISM certification or evidence showing progress toward achieving the required certification. Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with senior‑level leadership. Excellent organizational, analytical thinking and multi‑tasking skills.



Detail‑oriented and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and responsiveness. Strong understanding of cost‑management best practices.
