Hiring for Controls Engineer III | Remote | Long Term Contract Role: Controls Engineer III Location: REMOTE 50% business travel to client's site Language(s): English Work Schedule: 40 hrs/week up to 60-70 hrs onsite Project Details: The Controls Engineer III is responsible for guiding the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex automation systems. This candidate will be working with MHE systems (conveyors, AS/RS, robotics, sortation, and associated industrial automation technologies), including HMIs, WES/WCS platforms, and customer host interfaces. The Program Lead drives cross‑functional alignment, mentors engineers, establishes standards and best practices, and ensures predictable, efficient execution throughout the project lifecycle. B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Computer Engineering, OR 10 years of equivalent engineering experience. 2. 5 years PLC programming experience (Rockwell preferred; Siemens/others a plus).



3. Strong understanding of industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profinet, etc.). 4. Experience with conveyor and MHE control systems, safety PLCs, and machine automation. 5. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and system diagrams. 6. Prior experience defining and working with software/PLC interfaces. 7. Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk View preferred). 8. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex controls issues efficiently. 9. Strong communication and documentation skills. 10. Ability to lead technical conversations with customers and cross-functional teams. 11. Capable of managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments. 12.Comfortable mentoring and guiding engineers. 13.Experience with Daifuku, Dematic, Hytrol, and Pulse Roller MDR or Motor Driven Roller Conveyors 14. Fanuc Robotics expeirence is a PLUS Pulseroller MDR Control cards required Itoh Denki MDR Control cards preferred primary OEMs we intend to work with are Daifuku Hytrol ACSI Automated conveyor systems Inc Pulse Roller control cards
