**Responsibilities**:
As a **Brand Packaging Adaptation Designer**, you will be responsible for adapting **mechanical packaging plans** across multiple brands, ensuring high-quality execution aligned with **integral brand and print standards**.
This role focuses on the **technical and graphic adaptation of packaging assets**, including scaling, layout adjustments, image retouching, and preparation of files for multiple formats under tight deadlines.
As a **Brand Packaging Adaptation Designer**, you will:
**Packaging & Visual Adaptation**:
- Adapt master design files into multiple sizes and formats, ensuring brand integrity.
- Maintain visual hierarchy across sizes, flavors, and SKUs.
- Coordinate with Pre-Media partners to guarantee printability and quality.
- Manage timelines and handoffs to Pre-Media teams.
**Design Execution**:
- Adapt key visuals to different formats and sizes.
- Develop simple graphic designs when needed.
- Create basic product shots, banners, packaging mock-ups, and POS visualizations.
- Roll out assets across multiple point-of-sale formats following Design Center standards.
**Technical & Printing Knowledge**:
- Use pre-press best practices such as color separation, trapping, and high-resolution image and barcode replacement.
- Support compliance with local regulations (e.g., NOM-050 for nutritional labeling in LATAM).
**Collaboration & Daily Management**:
- Act as a brand guardian, ensuring strict adherence to brand guidelines.
- Present work to internal stakeholders, brand teams, and external agencies.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality assets and services.
- Participate in meetings with internal clients to align on objectives, timelines, and project scope.
Qualifications:
**Education & Background**:
- Diploma or degree in **Art & Design, Printing Technology, Graphic Arts**, or equivalent practical experience.
**Experience & Technical Skills**:
- **2+ years of experience** adapting mechanical files for **packaging and print** (offset, flexo, digital, large format), including color separation, white ink under base, overprint, and extended gamut.
- Strong understanding of **print processes** (Offset, Flexography, Gravure, Dry Offset, Digital) and color systems (CMYK, spot colors, special inks).
- Experience preparing **print-ready files**, managing artwork approvals, performing quality checks, and supporting first print runs when needed.
- Hands-on experience in a **creative agency or in-house agency** environment; CPG experience is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in **Adobe Creative Cloud** (especially Photoshop and Illustrator), plus knowledge of social formats, delivery file types, and basic presentation/project tools (PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
- Highly professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working **independently under tight deadlines** while collaborating with clients, printers, and internal teams.
- **Intermediate English** and a strong **online portfolio** showcasing packaging and adaptation work.
