**Description**:
Cost Accountant is responsible for leading advanced cost accounting activities, developing costing models, analyzing cost drivers, and providing insights that support strategic decision‐making.
This role ensures accuracy in cost reporting, enhances cost control processes, inventory controls, standard cost roll up, variances analysis and partners closely with operations, finance, and leadership to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Cost Accounting & Analysis**
Develop, maintain, and optimize standard cost models and costing methodologies.
Perform deep-dive cost variance analysis (Purchase price variance, production order variances).
Prepare journal entry for close of month & quarter.
Prepare standard cost updates.
**Financial Reporting & Compliance**
Prepare and review cost-related financial reports for monthly close.
Ensure accuracy of inventory valuation in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
Monitor and reconcile inventory transactions (WIP, scrap, adjustments).




Support internal and external audits related to costing and inventory.
**Process Improvement & Systems**
Lead cost accounting process automation and system optimization.
Improve internal controls related to cost flows and inventory management.
Support ERP system enhancements (SAP)
**Skills & Competencies**
**Technical Skills**
Bachelor's degree in accounting or industrial engineering or similar.
English fluency (spoken and written).
Strong command of cost accounting principles (standard costing, job costing, process costing).
Advanced Excel and data modeling; experience with Power BI a plus.
Proficiency with ERP cost modules (SAP).
Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and cost allocation processes.

Strong attention to detail with high accuracy and critical thinking skills.

**Responsibilities**:
- PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Develops, implements and/or maintains one or a combination of cost accounting systems.
Prepares journal entries; maintains and reconciles ledger accounts.
Collects data, allocates costs and prepares reports on labor, equipment, depreciation, assembly or other operating expenses, ensuring that established procedures are followed.
Prepares financial statements and variance reports as requested.
May do analysis and prepare special reports.
May interpret reports and records for managers.
