The BDT Product Senior Officer AVP is a seasoned professional role.
Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function.
Has a holistic vision of the processes related to Payments, as well as the processes related to the Banxico's International Wire Transfers Data Base (BDT).
Supports the BDT Product Manager Head on the activities related to efforts derived form International Wire Transfers Data Base (BDT).
This includes tasks related to new regulatory requirements, as well as BAU activities for the product with End User Areas.
BDT Product Senior Officer AVP** (C12) roles & responsibilities**
BDT Product Senior Officer AVP must be able to comply with the following Roles & Responsibilities as part of his/her functions.
**Process, risks and Control Management**
- Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
- Attention and follow up of activities derived from BDT efforts/projects, corresponding to BDT business.
- Continuous communication with BDT Product Manager Head and BDT Product Specialist (VP) in regards the status/issues related to activities derived from BDT projects.
- Acts as BDT Business representative within Agile and Waterfall projects for readiness and continuous improvement.
- Support the implementation of Key controls functions.
- Participate on BDT Monitoring and Audit exercises as required.
**Issue Management**
- Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area to resolve issues.
- Supports the Business,
on the initiatives derived from regulatory changes and requirements as an active participant of issue management and corrective action plans.
- Monitor and follow up on key issues identified by Business, Operation Areas and 1**st**, 2nd and 3rd Line of defense.
**Internal & External Review Management**
- Participates along with BDT Product Manager Head and BDT Product Specialist during planning, fieldwork and closing of examination exercises.
- Facilitates the transition of systems, product & process development to minimize adverse operations impact by ensuring that the business is informed and always aware of the status of process improvements, procedure & systems enhancements and corrective actions for risk issues, identified for the business.
- Acts as a point of contact and liaison between department and required business areas for the implementation of activities to ensure accurate communication to clients.
- Liaises with key stakeholders to implement new procedures or clarify any misinterpretation as required.
**Regulatory Compliance Management**
- Works with Compliance, Legal and Business, for the analysis of applicable regulations and rules (new or modified) to analyse, and if needed, ensure the incorporation of them in the Regulatory Control Matrix (RCM) and the mapping into the MCA.
- Regularly undertakes a review of processes,
policies and procedures to identify process gaps and recommend process updates/ policy & procedure revisions associated with Project Management and Business Compliance.
**Product Management**
- Coordinate and execute working sessions or committees with the BDT Key Participants.
- Provides support on the definition of scope, objectives and milestones for all prioritized BDT projects, including documentation (i.e. BRD's).
- Monitors & communicates on Service Level Agreements of other departments that affect the service delivery within a project.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Liaise with SBM KYC Ops México and AML Client Review and Investigations Unit (CRIU) partners, infrastructure and regulators in order to ensure the proper BDT operation.
- Manage appropriate utilization of system capabilities to further enhance / sophisticate current BDT operation.
- Develop, implement and monitor BDT metrics.
- Integrates and prepares information so that it can be presented in forums related to BDT.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating Knowledge of BDT Product.

- The role involves close interaction with participants from Business Execution, AML, ICRM, Senior Management, Senior In Business Control Officers, Operations, CTI, Information Security and Technology and 1st / 2nd / 3rd Lines of defense stakeholders.
**Knowledge/Experience**:
- The academic background expected (but not limited to) is: Bachelor degree in Finance or Business Management related is required with a minimum of 5-8 years of previous banking, compliance, internal audit, operational risk management or internal controls experience.
- Financial services industry experience desired.
