GENERAL DESCRIPTION
In the performance of their duties, the Asset Security Coordinator will ensure a safe and secure environment for all personnel and assets through proper and efficient management of security procedures, as well as loss prevention programs and administrative controls.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree / Engineering
Five years of experience in similar positions
Bilingual
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CERTIFICATIONS
Experience in managing C-TPAT-BASC-OAS certification processes.
Experience using CCTV, Access Control, and Master Key Control systems.
Experience in a local and regional physical/asset security environment.
Knowledge of HS&E; (Desirable).
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain effective communication with the local Security Manager and submit reports on developments and activities when requested by the Manager.
Maintain constant supervision of yard security activities and prepare joint reports with the yard supervisor when requested by the Manager and when necessary.
Strengthen teamwork and integrate internal security elements and foster interdepartmental teamwork.
Assume full control of the physical security of personnel and company assets, and provide guidance to suppliers where we have inventory (Warehouses and Yards).
Prepare and deploy preventative initiatives to support all personnel security inside and outside BRP.
Ensure that all security personnel perform all their tasks and duties as described in the security procedure.
Ensure that the necessary information is provided to internal and external security officers so that they can carry out their activities according to the instructions and orders given by the Security Manager.
Responsible for key inventory control,
keeping it up to date.
Conducts an inspection of the entire building to identify risk factors related to security, fire prevention, and environmental safety.
Prepares a report and presents corrective measures to the Security Manager and, where appropriate, to the directors.
Prepares a complete incident report for the director, including vandalism, accidents, and any other incidents.
Assists in coordinating emergency procedures for the building and site.
Assists and coordinates with the emergency brigade, health and safety, and environmental department leaders on all activities related to emergency procedures.
Ensures inventory control, circulation lists, records, documents, equipment, and information under their responsibility.
Promote, coordinate, and conduct initial and ongoing training for security personnel and employees.
Participate, when required and necessary, in the LOCAL EMERGENCY RESPONSE COMMITTEE and collaborate in the development of the EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN.
Actively participate in the MEXICO SECURITY COMMITTEE (Corporate Level), prepare reports and statistics, and take necessary measures.
Maintain contact with all supervisors, managers, and directors to address any security-related issues.
Prepare all security-related documents and procedures and ensure 100% compliance to achieve and maintain C-TPAT and AEO validation, attend internal and external audits, and collaborate with all other involved areas.
Prepare the risk assessment, update it annually, and prepare and execute a plan to reduce risks to a manageable level for each site.
Prepare and manage the security budget.
Coordinate all special investigations related to ethics, confidentiality, and any other matters that may be required.
Maintain a drug-free environment by reinforcing background screening for the hiring process and using external resources such as trained dogs.
Responsible for maintaining BSC corporate data related to the CONFIDENTIALITY AND CLEAN DESK POLICY.
Responsible for managing the surveillance camera system and access system.
Promote, coordinate, and conduct initial and ongoing training for all new employees, security personnel, and contractors.
Establish and maintain contact and communications with external resources such as local, state, and federal law enforcement, traffic police, and fire and rescue services.
**Participate in local and regional safety committees**: INDEX, OSAC, ASIS, etc.
Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the Security Manager.
Ensure the presence of a Security Officer during construction/renovation, maintain close coordination with project managers.
Coordinates the inspection of incoming and outgoing trailers at the plant and yard.
Participates in compliance with the QMS (Quality Management System) established for their role in relation to ISO ****:****.
Comply with safety regulations determined according to their role.
Complete planned training sessions related to Quality and Training on time.
