**About the team**:
We're embedding AI across our entire product suite — and we're looking for a pragmatic, pioneering engineer to lead the way.
Our product is built using PHP, Golang, Node.js, Vue, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS.
We also use Redis, Vue Router, Vuex, Docker Compose, Docker, GitLab CI, and Graylog, and some third-party API's like Stripe.
We use Slack, Clubhouse,



Notion, Whimsical, Figma, and G Suite to collaborate and build together.
**What you will do**:
Help shape the future of our product by turning cutting-edge AI into real, high-impact features — from rapid prototyping to production-ready solutions that drive smarter automation, insights, and decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Spot the highest-impact ways AI can improve our product — from smarter automation to better insights and decision-making.
- Rapidly prototype ideas using tools like OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Pinecone, and whatever else helps us move fast.
- Adapt and integrate off-the-shelf models (LLMs, embeddings, classifiers, etc.) into real product workflows — not just to show what's possible, but to ship things that matter.
- Experiment, measure, and iterate: create feedback loops and evaluation methods to test what's working and what's not.
- Train and fine-tune models using Firstbase's own data when off-the-shelf isn't good enough.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product to turn prototypes into reliable, user-facing features.
- Build out our internal AI stack and shape best practices — technically and ethically — as we scale.
- Keep a pulse on the AI space and bring in new ideas, tools, and techniques that can give us an edge.
**You should meet the following requirements**:
- 5+ years of professional experience with Machine Learning,



ideally in a SaaS or product-led B2B environment.
- 1+ years hands-on with LLMs and GenAI techniques — prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agents, etc.
- Experience deploying on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and working with CI/CD and containerization workflows.
- Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments — you move fast but think critically.
- Bonus: exposure to data engineering or analytics pipelines.
