11 - Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Location: Monterrey, NLE, MX General Overview Functional Area: Supply Chain Management (SCM) Career Stream: Planning & Inventory (SCM_PNIV) Role: Senior Manager Job Title: Senior Manager, Supply Chain Planning & Inventory Job Code: SMG-SCM-PNIV Job Level: Level 11 Direct/Indirect Indicator: Indirect Detailed Description Maintains responsibility for management of materials availability to support build plans throughout the product life cycle for a specific business unit or customer set. Leads efforts to reduce material cost and assess/respond to supply risks. Manages the development of delivery requirements (OTD), material plans and short-range capacity plans to meet production schedules and inventory objectives.
Leads the teams that are responsible for customer interface from SCM including relationship management and as focal point for all SCM related issues. Responsible for ownership of Site Inventory results working with site GM’s, SSCM managers and customer VP/GMs. Participates in process improvements to help achieve inventory targets and maximize return on investment in alignment with the Global Planning Corporate team.
Responsible for ensuring Celestica is compliant with internal and external audits in alignment with procedures and policies. Directly manages a group of SCM employees including employee training, performance, measurement, development, motivation and recognition. Responsible for leading and monitoring Planning & Inventory Metrics and KRIs.
Establishes department goals/ measurements and manages resources to achieve these goals. Responsible to ensure the overall SIOP process is followed according to the Procedure (Including Demand Management, MPS Analysis, Production Schedule, etc) Responsible for effectively managing E & O Inventory (including FIA,
Customer Contracts and understanding Customer Collaboration). Responsible for meeting Inventory Entitlement according to the Quotes for each of their customers in the site.
Responsible for maintaining the correct Planning Parameters. Responsible for driving Inventory Investments as needed. Responsible for ensuring correct SS and ROP are set up to optimize Inventory Management.
Responsible for ensuring Revenue and Inventory projections are met. Responsible to drive Flexibility Programs with Suppliers Leads continuous improvements of SCM function through interactions with other departments. Responsible for annual physical inventory, site surplus/excess sale process and disposition of scrap material.
- Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of integral supply chain management, distribution methods, and global transportation services and inventory management.
- Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers. Strong presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively lead, manage, assess,
train and motivate a diverse group of employees.
- ERP System Logic Understanding.
- Rapid Response Kinaxis System Knowledge.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Knowledge.
- Basic Statistical Analysis Knowledge applied to Supply Chain.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001: The manager must have knowledge of the ISO 45001 standard and the requirements for an OHS management system.
- Leadership skills: The manager must have leadership skills to lead the implementation and maintenance of the OHS management system.
- Knowledge of risks and hazards: The manager must have knowledge of risks and hazards related to OHS and the measures to mitigate them.
- Communication and problem-solving skills: The manager must have communication and problem-solving skills to address incidents and accidents related to OHS.
Typical
Experience 8+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. A solid understanding of electronics manufacturing and Planning is required. Understand the industry in which the customer resides. Understand the requirements for flexibility, cost and quality that will be needed by the customer. Define and monitor key performance metrics.
Typical Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Logistics Management, or related discipline, or an equivalent proven track record in an EMS or similar environment. Educational requirements may vary by geography.
