Role Description This full-time remote AI Engineer role at VEMIO focuses on designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven solutions across a variety of products and internal tools. The AI Engineer will build and optimize machine learning models, with a focus on pattern recognition, neural networks, and natural language processing (NLP), and integrate these models into production-grade software systems.

Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, implementing and testing algorithms, and improving existing models for performance, scalability, and reliability. The role also involves writing clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews, monitoring model performance in production, and documenting architecture, workflows, and best practices. The AI Engineer is expected to stay current with AI and ML research, evaluate new techniques and frameworks, and contribute to continuous improvement of VEMIO’s AI capabilities.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development, including data structures, algorithms, and programming in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition,



including building, training, and evaluating models using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Practical knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP), such as text classification, language modeling, and working with modern NLP libraries or transformer-based architectures.
- Experience deploying and maintaining machine learning models in production environments, using tools such as Docker, REST APIs, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with data handling and analysis, including working with large datasets, feature engineering, and using libraries like NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn.
- Ability to collaborate in distributed teams, communicate complex technical concepts clearly, and document solutions for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with MLOps practices, model monitoring, and performance optimization is beneficial; familiarity with responsible AI principles and data privacy considerations is a plus.
