- In this role you are responsible for design, developing and implementing new technologies for various projects, requiring effective work in a fast-paced environment and good communication skills.
The role demands mínimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects_
- Responsibilities:_
- _Share knowledge by effectively documenting work_
- _Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and take responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution._
- _Resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues._
- _Install and maintain database software._
- _Manage backup and recovery of databases using RMAN and/or Network Appliance Snapshots._
- _Manage security of database structures and corporate data held within databases._
- _Develop database procedures, triggers and SQL scripts for development teams._
- _Assist in the definition and implementation of database standards._
- _Review scripts submitted by the Development team to ensure that all standards are met._
- _Monitor databases for errors and perform problem determination when necessary._
- _Design and implement highly available production systems using the following technologies: Hot Standby/Data Guard, Oracle Goldengate, Advanced Queuing, Real Application Cluster (RAC)



and Oracle Enterprise Manager_
- _Participate in on-call rotations_
- Qualifications:_
- Minimum Qualifications / Skills_
- _Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience_
- _Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strong communication and collaboration abilities, ability to work independently and as part of a team_
- Preferred Qualifications / Skills_
- _Experience developing Ansible playbooks_
- _Experience with high volume websites that use multi-tier architectures_
- _Hands-on experience in Oracle database technologies_
- _Prior experience writing PL/SQL triggers and/or procedures_
- _Experience with Database SQL and Database tuning_
- _Experience with Oracle GoldenGate_
- _Experience supporting Database infrastructure in the cloud (OCI, AWS, Azure)_
- _Ability to work with mínimal direction, yet also able to work in a team environment_
- _Working knowledge of LINUX and shell scripting_
- _Experience configuring database network connectivity_
- _Understanding of database backup and recovery techniques using RMAN and Network Appliance filers_
- _Understanding or experience using Oracle Real Application Clusters and implementation best practices_
- _Ability to analyze existing systems and make recommendations on technology for high availability, Disaster Recovery, or high performance_
- _Experience setting up and managing OEM 13c_
- _Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills_
- _Strong communication and collaboration abilities_
- _Ability to work independently and as part of a team_
