Position Summary

The Industrial Purchasing Manager is an individual contributor responsible for leading MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Operations) and SG&A; procurement activities across Canada and Mexico. This role drives sourcing strategies, supplier performance, cost savings, operational excellence, and stakeholder satisfaction. The position offers potential future growth into a people leadership role as business operations expand.

Key Responsibilities

- Own procurement activities for MRO and SG&A; categories across Canada and Mexico.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, service, and supplier performance.




- Manage and oversee the end-to-end Purchase Order (PO) process, ensuring timely and accurate creation, modification, and closure of purchase orders.
- Ensure procurement transactions comply with company policies, purchasing procedures, delegated authority limits, and internal controls.
- Identify and deliver measurable cost savings opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in managing exceptions, urgent requests, and escalations to minimize supply disruptions.
- Train and support end users on procurement systems, policies, and purchasing procedures.
- Challenge existing supplier arrangements and internal procurement processes to drive greater value.
- Monitor and report on procurement KPIs, metrics, and business impact.
