Responsibilities - Plan assignments, layout, set up, operate and adjust tools for manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment.

- Interpret blueprints, process sheets and sketches to carry out production tasks, including cutting and shaping metal to precision dimensions.
- Communicate directly with engineers to understand the purpose of part assemblies.
- Check and inspect machining operations against specified tolerances.
- Identify and repair minor machine malfunctions.
- Contribute to development of concepts and techniques.
- Use judgement and initiative on complex assignments.
- Determine methods and procedures for new assignments independently.
- Serve as a team leader or subject‑matter expert in the assigned work area.
