Hiring for Controls Engineer III | Remote | Long Term Contract Role: Controls Engineer III Location: REMOTE + 50% business travel to client's site Language(s): English Work Schedule: 40 hrs/week up to 60-70 hrs onsite Project Details: The Controls Engineer III is responsible for guiding the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex automation systems. This candidate will be working with MHE systems (conveyors, AS/RS, robotics, sortation, and associated industrial automation technologies), including HMIs, WES/WCS platforms, and customer host interfaces.

Experience with conveyor and MHE control systems, safety PLCs, and machine automation.

- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and system diagrams.
- Prior experience defining and working with software/PLC interfaces.
- Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk View preferred).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex controls issues efficiently.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead technical conversations with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments. 12.Comfortable mentoring and guiding engineers. 13.Experience with Daifuku, Dematic, Hytrol, and Pulse Roller MDR or Motor Driven Roller Conveyors 14.
