**Key Responsibilities**:- Maintain and enhance existing FileMaker solutions to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Develop new features and functionality based on business requirements using FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server.
- Collaborate with support teams to address data corrections and backend fixes in FileMaker.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve bugs in the system.
- Utilize SQL to integrate FileMaker with external data sources and systems.
- Implement JavaScript-based functionality to extend FileMaker's capabilities where appropriate.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, developers, and business stakeholders, to deliver robust and user-friendly solutions.
- Ensure the FileMaker systems adhere to best practices in design, coding, and security.
- Document workflows, code changes, and system updates for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
**Required Qualifications**:- 5+ years of experience working with FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server including advanced scripting, calculation, and layout design.
- 1-2 years of experience with SQL for database integration and management.
- 1-2 years of experience with JavaScript for enhancing system functionality.
- Strong understanding of relational database design principles.




- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, diverse team environment.
**Preferred Skills and Key Attributes**:- Experience integrating FileMaker with APIs or other third-party services.
- Knowledge of FileMaker Go and WebDirect.
- Familiarity with data migration and ETL processes.
- Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking to support FileMaker Server deployment and maintenance.
- Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and improving existing systems.
- Customer-focused with the ability to translate technical details into user- friendly solutions.
**Details**- Must be willing to work US hours- Must be fluent in English- This position will be a full time Independent Contractor role (2-year contract with the possibility of extending depending on company needs)- Pay: $11-$15 USD/hr depending on experience
