About the Role We are looking for a Lead DI Modernization Engineer to drive the design, development, and modernization of large-scale backend platforms. In this role, you'll provide technical leadership while building highly available, cloud-native solutions using modern distributed architectures and AI-assisted development practices. Responsibilities Lead the architecture and development of scalable backend platforms and distributed systems. Design and implement microservices and event-driven architectures. Develop production-grade backend services using Elixir . Build and maintain REST, Graph QL, and g RPC APIs. Design and optimize Postgre SQL databases and caching strategies. Develop and operate Kafka-based messaging systems. Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes. Establish observability standards with Data Dog, logging, monitoring, and alerting. Drive CI/CD, Dev Sec Ops, and secure software development practices. Define technical roadmaps and architecture standards.



Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams. Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and business stakeholders. Required Qualifications 8+ years of backend software engineering experience. 2+ years of hands-on experience with Elixir in production environments. Strong experience designing distributed systems and microservices. Solid knowledge of: AWS Docker Kubernetes Postgre SQL Kafka REST APIs Graph QL g RPC Data Dog Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Dev Sec Ops practices. Strong understanding of application security, authentication, encryption, and secure API design. Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar LLM-based development assistants. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Nice to Have Technical architecture ownership. Platform engineering experience. Reliability engineering (SLO/SLA). Agile delivery experience. Technical documentation and knowledge sharing. Mentoring and engineering leadership.
