Position Overview CruwX is seeking a highly experienced Senior Fintech Solutions Architect / Lead Payments Engineer (Hands-On) to participate in the architecture, development, implementation, integration, and support of mission-critical financial platforms including payments, remittances, digital wallets, card programs, merchant acquiring, digital assets, Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), and alternative payment solutions. Only candidates with proven experience in financial services, banking, payments, remittances, card processing, digital wallets, merchant acquiring, or fintech industries will be considered. Hands-On Technical Leadership (Mandatory) This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role.

This is NOT a management-only position, NOT a people-management role, and NOT an architecture-only role. The successful candidate is expected to actively participate in software design, coding, troubleshooting, testing, deployment, and production support. Candidates must be comfortable writing production code daily, performing code reviews, debugging production issues, analyzing logs, optimizing databases, developing APIs and integrations, implementing new platform functionality, supporting releases, and participating in root cause analysis.

The adecuado candidate is a builder and problem solver who enjoys creating software solutions, not simply managing teams or coordinating projects.

Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish are mandatory.

Professional Experience

Minimum 10 years of professional software development experience. Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in financial services, fintech, banking, payments, remittances, merchant acquiring, payment processing, card issuing, card processing, digital wallets, real-time payments, or Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) environments. Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with real-time payment systems. Demonstrated experience with at least two financial platforms operating in production environments.

Core Technical

Requirements C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core/.NET 8, ASP.NET MVC, ASP. NET Web API, Entity Framework, LINQ, IIS, Windows Services, Windows-based Microservices, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architectures.

Database Expertise Advanced





Microsoft SQL Server expertise including architecture, administration, performance tuning, optimization, replication, AlwaysOn Availability Groups, backup/recovery, and security. Previous DBA experience strongly preferred.

Financial Systems

International remittances, payment processing, digital wallets, banking applications, card issuing and processing, merchant acquiring, settlement, clearing, reconciliation, treasury operations, chargebacks, dispute management, ledger management, and transaction lifecycle management.

Financial

Messaging ISO 8583 including authorizations, reversals, advice messages, settlement, switching, routing, custom fields, and processor integrations. ISO 8583 over TCP/IP sockets. ISO 20022 PACS, CAMT, and PAIN messages.

Payment

Processor & Gateway Certifications (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience integrating, implementing, certifying, or supporting Payment Processors, Card Processors, Merchant Acquirers, Payment Facilitators (PayFac), Payment Gateways, Transaction Gateways, Card Networks, Banking Networks, and Digital Wallet Providers.

Experience leading processor certification efforts is highly desirable. Real-Time Payments Experience (Mandatory) Minimum five years of hands-on experience designing, developing, implementing, integrating, or supporting real-time payment platforms operating in production environments.

Experience with instant payments, authorization systems, payment switching, remittance platforms, and transaction routing is mandatory. API & Enterprise Integrations REST APIs, JSON, SOAP, XML, OAuth 2.0, JWT, Mutual TLS, HMAC Authentication.

Experience integrating with banks, processors, remittance networks, wallets, and core banking systems.

White

Label & Multi-Tenant Platforms Proven experience designing, developing, implementing, or supporting white-label and multi-tenant financial platforms.



Omnichannel & Mobile Platforms Experience integrating backend financial platforms with web applications, iOS and Android mobile applications, customer portals, merchant portals, agent portals, partner platforms, call center applications, and back-office systems.

Alternative Payment

Technologies QR Code Payments, Dynamic QR, Static QR, NFC Payments, Contactless Payments, Ultrasound-Based Payments, Mobile Wallet Payments, Tokenized Payments, and Real-Time Payment Systems.

Digital

Assets & Tokenization Minimum one year of hands-on experience with cryptocurrency platforms, stablecoin payment systems, digital asset custody, blockchain-based financial systems, digital asset wallets, tokenization platforms, and Real World Asset (RWA) solutions.

Experience with BTC, ETH, USDC, USDT, Fireblocks, Circle, Coinbase Institutional, BitGo, or similar platforms. HSM Experience (Highly Preferred) Experience integrating, configuring, or supporting Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), cryptographic key management, PIN encryption, PIN translation, EMV cryptography, tokenization, and key ceremonies. Familiarity with Thales, Utimaco, Futurex, Entrust, or equivalent enterprise-grade HSM solutions is highly desirable.

AWS Cloud Architecture & Operations EC2, RDS SQL Server, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, SNS, SQS, VPC, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, Secrets Manager, Systems Manager, AWS Backup, and CloudFormation. Security & Compliance PCI DSS, OWASP, secure coding practices, encryption, key management, RBAC, MFA, audit logging, and security monitoring.
