Job Summary
Develop, design, specify, and document systems focused on Product and Process Quality Assurance. This role is responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured according to established standards across product, process, and supplier quality, with product quality being the primary focus. Quality Assurance is understood as all activities required to ensure products and processes meet and exceed customer specifications and expectations.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Support Customer Quality Claim Reduction and Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) reduction initiatives
- Administer Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes
- Manage activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Manage Product Engineering Changes and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) updates
- Support Cost Reduction processes
Skills And Minimum Experience Required
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, including product, process, and/or supplier quality
- Experience with Quality Management System (QMS) implementation
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and practices. Experience with Corrective Action Management and problem-solving techniques
- Knowledge of Process Control, including the definition and monitoring of critical process variables
- Experience maintaining product specifications and related documentation. Strong negotiation skills, proactive mindset, customer-service orientation, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of APQP / PPAP, including PFMEA, Product Specifications, Test Specifications, Control Plans, Process Flow Charts, and Calibration processes
- Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple functions
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;)
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience leading personnel is preferred; experience working with or leading unionized employees is a plus
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or SMT-related processes is preferred
