We are looking for a Lead DI Modernization Engineer to drive the design, development, and modernization of large-scale backend platforms. In this role, you'll provide technical leadership while building highly available, cloud-native solutions using modern distributed architectures and AI-assisted development practices.

Responsibilities

- Lead the architecture and development of scalable backend platforms and distributed systems.
- Design and implement microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Develop production-grade backend services using Elixir.
- Build and maintain REST, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs.
- Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases and caching strategies.
- Develop and operate Kafka-based messaging systems.
- Deploy, monitor, and scale applications on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Establish observability standards with DataDog, logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- Drive CI/CD, DevSecOps, and secure software development practices.




- Define technical roadmaps and architecture standards.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

- 8+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience with Elixir in production environments.
- Strong experience designing distributed systems and microservices.
- Solid knowledge of:
- AWS
- Docker
- Kafka
- REST APIs
- GraphQL
- gRPC
- DataDog
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
- Strong understanding of application security, authentication, encryption, and secure API design.
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code or similar LLM-based development assistants.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
