A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Global Product Manager, you own the service portfolio elements for gas‑insulated switchgear (GIS) modernization, extensions, and uprates from a Product Lifecycle Management perspective. You shape the portfolio strategy, roadmap, value proposition, modular offering structure, lifecycle governance, and innovation pipeline while ensuring alignment with customer needs, installed base potential, market demand, regulatory drivers such as F‑gas regulation, and Grid Technologies service growth strategy. You work closely with Sales, PFS execution teams, Engineering, R&D;, Service Operations, Regions, and Marketing to translate market needs and service ideas into scalable, customer‑centric portfolio elements, commercialization concepts, and clear go‑to‑market enablement.
You support operations in strategic opportunities and customer discussions from a product perspective, ensuring that portfolio offerings are not only strategically defined but also successfully implemented together with execution teams and GT Sales.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead the global portfolio strategy and lifecycle management for GIS modifications, extensions, uprates, and related modernization solutions.
- Own the end‑to‑end product management scope from ideation, concept development, and business case validation to commercialization, rollout, execution alignment, lifecycle management, and performance tracking – in alignment with related GIS service offerings and installed base exploitation opportunities.
- Define and steer go‑to‑market readiness and sales enablement, including value propositions, sales packages, training, workshops, rollout communication,
and customer‑facing argumentation in close collaboration with the GT Sales TSE team.
- Drive innovation and portfolio development for switchgear modernization and extension services by translating customer insights, installed base data, market trends, regulatory requirements, and execution feedback into scalable service concepts.
- Represent the switchgear extension, modernization, and upgrade service portfolio in customer engagements, industry events, conferences, and executive forums, providing transparency on roadmap progress, market feedback, risks, priorities, and value potential.
- Act as the general product management interface between Engineering, R&D;, PFS execution teams, Service Operations, Sales, Regions, and senior management, ensuring stakeholder alignment through portfolio governance, project management excellence, clear communication, and structured feedback loops.
- Support strategic portfolio initiatives and development projects by evaluating technology fit, scalability, customer value, regulatory relevance, and execution feasibility for future switchgear service offerings.
