Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a Data Engineer in Location:Remote (LATAM)

8+ years of experience in data engineering or architecture roles.

3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Snowflake design, configuration, and optimization.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and metadata management

Design scalable, secure, and high-performance Snowflake solutions to support business analytics and reporting needs.

Lead end-to-end implementation and migration projects involving Snowflake and legacy data systems.

Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and define data architectures.

Develop and optimize data models (star, snowflake, and normalized) and physical database designs on Snowflake.

Create efficient ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Snowpipe, dbt,



Apache Airflow, or other integration frameworks.

Implement data governance, security, access controls, and auditing mechanisms.

Perform workload management, query performance tuning, and cost optimization within Snowflake.

Guide DevOps teams in setting up CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake development.

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering teams.

- Keep up to date with Snowflake features and best practices, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
