Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Compliance & Amendments Specialist to support their payroll operations. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in payroll tax compliance who enjoys resolving complex tax issues, preparing payroll amendments, and working directly with federal and state tax agencies.

What You'll Do

Resolve payroll tax notices by communicating directly with the IRS and state tax agencies.

Prepare and file payroll tax amendments, including 941-X, 940-X, and W-2c forms.

Conduct historical payroll reconciliations and perform root cause analysis for payroll tax discrepancies.

⚖️ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and multi-state payroll tax regulations.





Work within cloud-based payroll systems to maintain accurate payroll records.

Collaborate with the client's payroll team to resolve compliance issues and improve payroll processes.

Must-Have Qualifications

✅ Strong experience preparing payroll tax amendments (941-X, 940-X, and W-2c ).

✅ Experience resolving payroll tax notices directly with the IRS and state tax agencies.

✅ Strong knowledge of federal, state, and multi-state payroll tax compliance.

✅ Experience conducting historical payroll reconciliations and root cause analysis.

✅ Hands-on experience with cloud-based payroll systems.

✅ Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

✅ Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).

⏰ Part-time (30 hours per week )

️ Adaptable schedule

️ During training, candidates must be available to work Mountain Time (MST) or Pacific Time (PST) hours.
