Work Experience. • Career History: At least 3 to 5 years in EHS leadership or coordination roles in the industrial, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
• Management Systems: Proven experience with international standards such as ISO 14001 (Environment) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Legal and Technical Knowledge.
• Mexican regulations: Thorough knowledge of the Official Mexican Standards (NOMs issued by the STPS), the Federal Labor Law, and regulations issued by SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, and Civil Protection.
Critical regulations on the production floor: Full mastery of STPS standards regarding machinery (NOM-004-STPS), pressure vessels (NOM-020-STPS), personal protective equipment (NOM-017-STPS), and safety committees (NOM-019-STPS).
Management of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), workplace safety analysis (AST), and methodologies for analyzing and resolving the root causes of accidents.
Application of NOM-036-STPS to mitigate risks associated with repetitive movements and manual handling of materials,
• Risk management: Hazardous waste control, emergency plans, accident investigation, and internal audits.
• Management of the storage and final disposal of hazardous waste (in accordance with NOM-052-SEMARNAT), control of water discharges and atmospheric emissions (Annual Operating Permit—COA).
Emergency response plans: Design of contingency plans approved by Civil Protection, education and
training of rescue, first aid, and firefighting teams.
Education and Training.
• University degree: Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Specialization: Courses or certificate programs in Occupational Safety and Health, Civil Protection, or environmental management.
• Languages: Advanced English
