The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, which includes the quality control functions, control plan compliance, quality testing, and quality audit for all production shifts. The candidate should monitor the process for compliance and be able to identify any emerging issue, promptly communicate, and develop a containment strategy to protect the customer.
Specific Roles & Responsibilities: Ensure the right allocation of the people on the line,manage absenteeism,trainsandbuildsteams. Ensure a safe workplace,leads the Team to improve Safetyintheareaandenforces theuseofmandated Safetytoolsandprocedures. Possess knowledge of the broader manufacturing organization andhave the ability tomobilize support groups andresources to lead and assist in problem solving activities. First responder to floor quality calls. Understand losses during the Shift, use the C-Matrix to coordinate Stellantis Industrial Systems activities and improve Zone performances. Respond to potential quality issues and gathertheinformation necessary toproperly assessthe situation and make the determination if downstream customers areimpacted. Develop initial containmentstrategiesand short-term countermeasuresfor emerging issues,as necessary,to stop the flow of defects to the customer. Work with production operations to quicklydeterminethe dirty/clean points and release any conforming material. Engage other plant resources (Resident Engineering, Supplier Quality, Plant Engineering) for Quality Control issues, to helpdeterminethe potential scope of the problem Issue, request,and approve process deviations as necessary and push for closure.
Attend production meetings and ensure clear communication handoffs from shift to shift. Ensure daily inspections/audits are completed per corporate requirements forcapability, torque, destructive checks,metrologychecks, gage calibration,partcleanliness. Follow established escalation procedures, including documentation on Hot Sheet,for all nonconformancesidentifiedby supervised teams. Maintain training records for all supervised team members. Managegagecalibration schedules to ensure compliance with standards. Compile FTC/FTQ/DPxinfo asrequired Create, update, review, and approve MQAS standards and controlled documents, whereappropriate.
Basic Qualifications: Ability to work any shift and overtime as required Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees within all areas of the Plant from hourly represented employees to Senior Leadership as required Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams Ability to coach/mentor/develop team members Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field 2 or more years’ experience in supervision in a high-volume environment. Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members Previous experience working in a union environment Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
