Job Responsibilities

As per curriculum, responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

Analyze chemical, biological or microbiological products, raw materials, in-process materials, release test samples or stability samples to support the company’s quality program. Prepare, clean, disinfect, and/or sterilize instruments, materials, products, and/or supplies. Follow protocols and regulations to clean, store, and deliver products, supplies, and instruments. Interpret and evaluate analyses in terms of accuracy and precision compared with established specifications, and recommend and implement corrective action where necessary. Develop, validate, and implement controlled environment methods. Apply existing techniques and procedures with recommendations and modification for improved efficiency, or devise and develop new analytical methods and techniques. Perform qualitative tests or quantitative assays on samples using techniques ranging from standard analytical equipment to highly modern and automated instrumentation. Assist in establishing requirements for transferring methodology from R&D; to production. Technical Specialist Career Stream

An individual contributor responsible for advancing existing technology or introducing new technology and therapies. Formulates, delivers and/or manages projects, works with stakeholders to achieve desired results,



and may act as a mentor to colleagues or direct the work of lower level professionals.

Required Knowledge and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology or Microbiology. Minimum of 2 years of professional microbiology experience (or 0 years for a Master’s degree). Experience with ISO 17025 Metrology and Good Laboratory Practices. Knowledge of microbiology test methods. Bilingual: English/Spanish proficiency (80% or higher). Proficiency in computer packages: Excel, Word, Power Point. Benefits & Compensation
