Senior Payroll Analyst (Guadalupe, Nuevo León)

Make an Impact in a Payroll Role Supporting Mexico Operations

Are you a payroll professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex payroll challenges, and has deep expertise in Mexican payroll regulations? Xylem is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join our team in Guadalupe, Nuevo León .

In this high-impact role, you'll serve as a key payroll subject matter expert, helping ensure employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. You'll collaborate across HR, Finance, HRIS, and external partners while contributing to process improvements, system enhancements, and payroll transformation initiatives.

We're especially interested in professionals with strong Mexico payroll experience and advanced English communication skills , as you'll collaborate with regional and global stakeholders across the organization.

What You'll Do:

Lead Payroll Operations

- Own and manage end-to-end payroll processing for Mexico, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Review complex payroll calculations, including taxes, statutory deductions, benefits, and special payments.
- Ensure payroll transactions are processed efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and employee satisfaction.
- Support payroll activities across multiple payroll cycles and business units.

Be the Payroll Compliance Expert

- Serve as a trusted expert on Mexican payroll legislation, labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement payroll process updates to maintain compliance.
- Support internal and external audits while ensuring strong payroll controls and documentation.
- Maintain payroll records and employee data in accordance with legal and company requirements.

Drive Systems Excellence

- Act as a key user and subject matter expert for payroll systems such as Workday, Meta4, Compaq, or similar platforms .
- Partner with HRIS, Finance, and IT teams to test enhancements,



resolve issues, and optimize payroll processes.
- Manage relationships with payroll vendors, service providers, and government agencies as needed.
- Leverage advanced Excel and reporting tools to analyze payroll data and identify trends.

Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives

- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and enhance payroll processes.
- Support payroll transformation and digitalization projects that improve efficiency and employee experience.
- Contribute to global payroll best practices and standardization efforts.
- Drive solutions that improve accuracy, controls, and operational effectiveness.

Collaborate & Influence

- Partner closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to provide expert payroll guidance and support.
- Handle escalated payroll inquiries with professionalism, confidentiality, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Mentor and support payroll team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Communicate complex payroll concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience managing payroll operations in Mexico.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican payroll regulations, ISR, IMSS, INFONAVIT, labor law requirements, and payroll compliance.
- Advanced proficiency with payroll systems such as Workday, Meta4, Compaq, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Professional-level English communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with shared services, regional payroll operations, or integral organizations.
- Project management and payroll system implementation experience.
- Experience driving payroll process improvements, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
