This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a nurturing mainstream environment, providing targeted 1:1 support to pupils who require additional help to thrive in the classroom.
**About the Role - SEN Teaching Assistant - Swindon**
You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis who require additional support with their special educational needs.
The role focuses on building strong, trusting relationships, supporting engagement with learning,



and promoting emotional regulation and confidence.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs
- Supporting emotional regulation and classroom engagement
- Encouraging communication, confidence, and independence
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Empathetic, patient, and resilient
- Passionate about SEN, inclusion, and child development
- A strong communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly
- Experience supporting children with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- Background in Education, Psychology, Care, or similar (beneficial)
