Job DescriptionThe NPI Leader is responsible for ensuring that assigned NPI projects follow the New Product Introduction procedure (SOP-***********) to meet each client's quality and time requirements, achieving success in each phase of the methodology by identifying manufacturability and design issues in conjunction with the CIT team, and releasing manufacturable products that generate profit for the plant.
The NPI Leader also leads and coordinates the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to guarantee that all client requirements are met and total satisfaction is achieved.
This includes coordinating the implementation of new processes for assemblies of existing product families and clients.Required Technical SkillsKnowledge of client documentation (BOMs, schematics, AVLs, ECOs,



etc.)Knowledge of the Shop Floor Data Collection (SFDC) systemBasic knowledge of the Materials Resource Planning (MRP) system (Oracle)Knowledge of quality methodologies such as FMEA and 8DsBasic knowledge of design problems, manufacturing processes, and repair processesProject and personnel management; Ability to develop and follow Gantt chartsKnowledge of the pilot run and first piece validation processKnowledge of internal and external NPI checklistsKnowledge of ISO ***** and IATF standardsKnowledge of CIT Board and Basics BoardKnowledge of continuous improvement tools such as LSS#J-*****-Ljbffr
