We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Release Engineer (DRE) specializing in Electrical/Electronic Component Integration (EECI) with a minimum of 5 years of automotive industry experience.
In this role, you will take end-to-end technical leadership of complex vehicle electrical components, electronic control units (ECUs), and network interfaces across all stages of development—from early architecture layout and prototype builds to mass production launch.
You will serve as the primary technical authority interfacing with internal cross-functional engineering teams, manufacturing plant operations, and Tier-1 suppliers.Key Responsibilities2.

Vehicle Launch & Continuous ImprovementTechnical Design, Component Release & Architecture IntegrationLead the mechanical, electrical, and functional integration of complex EE components (e.G., ECUs, sensors, actuators, wiring harnesses, power distribution units).
Manage complete component lifecycle engineering release in PLM systems, approving 3D/2D CAD packaging, schematic sign-offs, and Engineering Change Notices (ECN/CN).
Author comprehensive Statement of Work (SOW), System Requirement Documents (SRD), and technical compliance specifications for Tier-1 sourcing.Define and validate electrical interfaces aligned with vehicle EE architecture, power distribution/grounding schemes, and in-vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet).
Develop, update, and manage robust DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)



and DVP&R; (Design Verification Plan & Report).
Direct and oversee supplier and vehicle-level validation testing including EMC, thermal endurance, environmental exposure, and functional safety (ISO *****).
Lead structured root-cause investigation (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) for critical technical issues identified during bench, HIL, prototype, or pre-production plant builds.Lead Product Development Team (PDT) meetings, aligning internal stakeholders (Vehicle Packaging, Thermal, Software, Quality, Purchasing) with Tier-1 supplier technical teams.Hold suppliers strictly accountable to project milestones, technical deliverables, cost targets, weight reductions, and design quality.Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) milestones and grant technical sign-offs for Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
Provide hands-on on-site technical support at vehicle assembly plants during trial builds (Proto, Pilot, Pre-Series) to resolve immediate package, functional, or assembly issues.Drive post-SOP (Start of Production) value engineering (VAVE), warranty reduction, and continuous product improvement initiatives.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering,



Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of direct experience as an Electrical Design Release Engineer (DRE) or Electrical Component Integration Engineer within an OEM or Tier-1 automotive environment.Technical Skills:Demonstrated track record releasing automotive ECUs, sensors, wire harnesses, or power electronics from concept through Start of Production (SOP).
Advanced proficiency in CAD/PLM platforms (e.G., CATIA V5/V6, Siemens NX, Teamcenter).
Hands-on experience with automotive bus diagnostics and network tools (e.G., Vector CANoe, CANalyzer).
