**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Purpose (why the position exists and within what limits)**
- The Process Engineering Manager exists to design, standardize, and continuously improve end‐to‐end processes that maximize safety, quality, efficiency, scalability, and cost effectiveness by translating strategic business objectives into reliable, data‐driven operational execution.
Help generate a motivating environment through daily and cordial communication with their work colleagues.
Participate in the management of the product life cycle.
**SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES**:
- Development of new products according to the needs of the organization.
- Support in the reduction of product costs through VAVE-CRB projects, as part of local and/or general initiatives.
Work with the organization to identify and communicate opportunities for improvement for cost reduction, increased productivity, etc.
- Participate in the research of various problems related to the elaboration processes.
Contribute to the organization to execute action plans that solve problems and achieve objectives.
- Review of customer technical documentation for product definition
- Review, validate, and define appropriate products for prototyping
- Support in the execution of the validation plans of new developments
- Support in activities related to prototype manufacturing.
From planning, manufacturing, packaging, to shipping
- Helps maintain product health: monitors and reports on product performance and results and performs technical and Development/Technology/Engineering relationship activities.
- Responsible for continuous improvement.
Responsible for making production profitable, quality maximum, and efficient use of available resources.
- Participation with the work team to reduce RPN's in critical operations
- Participates in generating ideas for improvement and executing projects
- Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the 5S's.
- Participates in the creation, review, update and deployment of Process FMEA
- Participates in the APQP process for the design, validation, measurement and monitoring of new developments/products.
**Requirements and Preferred Skills**:
- Bachelors degree is required
- Intermediate English is required- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role- Experience within Rubber, Plastics, Metalworking, or Automotive Parts industries strongly preferred
**Training & Certifications**:
- Completion of Gates induction program
- Internal certification for the position
- APQP
- PPAP
- Control Plan (PC)
- AMEF
- SPC
- MSA
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks (preferred)
- Training or certification in Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred)
