**Position Overview**
Responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and measuring the effectiveness of the Leviton de Mexico quality system (inspection systems, policies and procedures, measurement and testing, corrective actions, internal audits, etc.) that was established to assure that the assemblies and/or subassemblies meet the quality standards internally established by the clients and/or applicable regulations (FDA, MILSPECS, UL, QS, ETL, ETC.).
**Essential Functions**
- Monitor and ensure compliance with Company Quality Objectives (quality costs, customer satisfaction, etc.) and the effectiveness of corrective measures.
- Research for new developments in technique systems, test equipment and quality criteria, adapting them to the organization and supervising their implementation.
- Oversees the review and approvals of all new and transferred manufactured or purchased products.
- Responsible for Company's QMS development, implementation, maintenance, conformance, continual improvement, and report on its performance.
- Coordinates the management of quality systems and applicable certification systems (ISO, QS, FDA, etc.) including the development, maintenance and updating of documentation, processes and records.
- Represents the company before regulatory agencies and/or certification agencies and professional organizations such ASQ.
- Responsibility for the monitoring and trend analysis of customer complaints.
Review and approval of corrective actions submitted to Leviton customers.
- Can act as a facilitator to the managerial staff regarding continuous improvement programs, lean manufacturing, six sigma, etc.
- Prepares and manages the objectives and budgets of the department, as well as validates and authorizes standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Provides leadership which models an employee-oriented culture that emphasizes quality, continuous
improvement, meeting commitments and attainment of Leviton's mission and goals
Performs supervisory duties including, but not limited to, hiring, training, assigning work; evaluating, and rewarding performance.
**Education**
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University required, degree in Engineering or related
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
- Certifications in Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing desired
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) a plus
- Advanced level of English, both conversational and written
**Experience**
- Minimum 6 years' quality management experience required
- Six Sigma Experience (Green or Black Belt strongly preferred)
- Prior Quality experience in Design and/or Process /Manufacturing, Metal Stamping preferred
- Experience in ISO **** required
**Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Requires outstanding communications skills.
- Competence in solving problems, using techniques or tools defined by the company for root cause analysis, as well as determining action plans and meeting these requirements within the established times.
- Advanced English level (reading and writing that allow fluid presentations and/or participation in negotiation processes) or currently studying to improve English proficiency
**Travel**
- This position requires a minimum of 15% travel
