SR PLANNING MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY
This position coordinates and manages the Planning Department and associated Planners and/or BOM Specialists.
Provides training and monitors planning activities and metrics.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement the company's production control functions including production planning/coordination, shop scheduling and dispatching, material requirements, planning systems, work-in-process tracking, material and labor variance controls, and manufacturing performance reporting.
Ensure that S&OE; and S&OP; are sustained at the intended maturity level with adherence to the relevant weekly and monthly processes.
Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.
Plan, review, and develop production procedures and personnel.
Coordinate activities with the materials function using enterprise resource planning systems.
Develop metrics and analytics to report manufacturing performance such as OTD, manufacturing lead-times, CTB, and adherence to plans.
Periodically conduct health checks on the process and outcome; manage projects to implement improvements.
Manage ECO (Enterprise Change Order) implementation within the group.
Adhere to organizational requirements on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal stipulations, environmental, 5S policies, and general duty of care.
Other duties as assigned.

Location: Mexicali
Works in a standard office environment
Works in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment with manufacturing escalations to resolve
Must also navigate the production environment, following the processes and procedures dictated in manufacturing.
QUALIFICATIONS & CAPABILITIES
Clearly articulate information at customer, executive, peer,
or team levels, both orally and in writing.
Strong analytical skills to drive data‐driven engagements.
Strong SAP knowledge (R3, S4, PPDS, IBP).
Respond quickly, decisively, assertively, and professionally to changing requirements in demand, product description, and material demand.
Manage and lead a staff of professional production planners.
Organize, schedule, coordinate, and negotiate effectively; set priorities to ensure maximum performance and goal accomplishment.
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of demand‐based manufacturing systems.
Define a roadmap to enhance current ways of working.
Excellent analytical skills, including Power BI, Tableau, Excel.
Excellent presentation skills in Word and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational skills.
Process‐driven individual.
Work on several projects simultaneously.
Motivate others in a team environment.
Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP;) experience.
EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
Minimum 7 years of experience working in a manufacturing and production environment, including new product introduction.
Proven track record of success and growth in positions of increasing responsibility.
Experience in a high mix/low volume, pull‐based manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in production planning required.
Previous experience managing people desired.
EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL
College or Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Production Operations Management, Materials Management, Engineering, or a closely related field that is equivalent to education and/or experience.
DESIRABLE
Prefer MBA or post‐graduate degree.
APICS CPIM certification strongly desired.
Six‐Sigma training/Green Belt certification desired.
